During the coming week many of our Masters athletes will be participating in the Masters Functional Fitness League competition. The competition consists of four mandatory workouts and one option pool WOD. The four mandatory workouts will be featured in our daily WOD’s this week. If you’re at least 35 years old and you haven’t registered for the MFFL yet, there’s still time to sign up. Just visit https://www.mastersfunctionalfitnessleague.com to register or review the workouts, movement standards, and weights for each Masters age group.
MFFL WOD 1.2
The athlete will have 5 minutes to achieve a 1RM for each of the following lifts:
BACK SQUAT
SHOULDER PRESS
DEADLIFT
BENCH PRESS
The athlete will be allowed 3 attempts at each lift. Following each 5 minute lift period, there will be a 5 minute rest period before the next max lift is attempted. The lifts must be attempted in the order listed above.
